Hi Rolf

Thanks for the clarification.

It would be great if the deployment guide would elaborate in more detail
what happens in case of http a session timeout.

"com.ulcjava.container.servlet.server.HttpSessionListener notifies ULC
applications after the HTTP session has been destroyed (e.g. because of
a HTTP session timeout)."

Regards, Etienne

HttpSession has a time out

Hi Etienne

You still need to install the
com.ulcjava.container.servlet.server.HttpSessionListener class inside
your web.xml (also see ULCDeploymentGuide, 2.2.7 Advanced Configuration,
Installation of ULC HttpSessionListener):

<DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application
2.3//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd";>
<web-app>
  <listener>
    <listener-class>
      com.ulcjava.container.servlet.server.HttpSessionListener
    </listener-class>
  </listener>
...
</web-app>

Cheers
Rolf

Subject: [ULC-developer] Enforce IApplication.stop() when the
HttpSession has a time out

Hi

Can you please comment on issue 7090:
https://www.canoo.com/jira/browse/UBA-7090

Is IApplication.stop() now invoked automatically when the http session
goes down or do I still have to register some listener? If so, can you
please give (or point to) a concrete configuration example?

Thanks and regards, Etienne
