Hi, I’m trying to trace my McCormack ancestors who lived in Cookstown Co. Tyrone circa 1901 to 1911.
My great grandfather John McCormack married Ellen Baxter of Ballyconnell, Co Cavan on 21st November 1887. They had a daughter Margaret Mary born 1st November 1890. He was a merchant and they lived at William St. Cookstown. Ellen died on the 21st June 1895 at the age of 31. John married Jane Gallagher from Co Kildare on the 15th January 1901 in the pro cathedral Dublin. John and Jane had a daughter Josephine born around 1902. On the 1911 census John isn’t there but we can’t find a death certificate for him. Margaret Mary is on the 1911 census for Carysfort training college in Dublin. Margaret Mary married William O Donnell in Arva, Co.Cavan around 1923 We would be grateful for any information regarding the McCormack Baxter families.
