Hello Friends I am very curious about the middle name of my Grand-father, Joseph Marriott LOVE, born 4 Jan 1895 at "Greystone" Cavancreagh Co. Tyrone.
In actual fact, his birth registration is recorded wrong, as he is listed as "Josephine Marriott Love" born on that date, to parents Joseph LOVE & Margaret DUNN. I have a copy of his baptism which was 22 Apr 1895 at Donagheady Parish Church of Ireland, which names him 'Marriott Joseph'. He always called himself, Joseph. No wonder it took so long to find his birth <g> Anyway, I am curious to know if any other's may have the name MARRIOTT, in their lines, or where it may have been taken from? I have found no MARRIOTT at all, in any of my lines, and am clueless as to where it came from. Even their Minister's name was MITCHELL. Who could he be named for?
