Our web-site was established in 2001, with the help of volunteers, like you! It is only through donations we are able to grow, and therefore, to help others in their journey back to their ancestors. Hugh MOORE, of Newtownards On Easter Monday, the First Presbyterian Congregation of Newtownards, through James KENNEDY, Esq., presented, at a meeting held for the purpose, to their respected Pastor, the Rev. Hugh MOORE, a gold watch, and a purse containing 30 sovereigns, accompanied by a highly complimentary address, as a token of the deserved esteem in which his Ministerial character and labours, and his value as a member of society, are held by those who receive spiritual instruction from him, and who enjoy the pleasure of his friendship. The address was read by the Secretary of the Congregation, W.D. JOHNSTON, Esq., and Mr. MOORE, in a chaste and happy style, returned thanks for the handsome tribute of affection which had been presented to him. We know Mr. MOORE long and well, and must say, that there are few labourers in the Gospel field more deserving of such a testimonial. The address and reply will be found in another column.
