Yes about Ancestry removing matches under 8 cM .... however there is a great chance of such 'low' match is a 'false' one, and SHOULD be eliminated. Actually, any match under 10 cM has a chance to be 'false'. What happens is that a string of cM is 'matched' up, however no consideration if that string is from the maternal or the fraternal side is taken into consideration. With such a small 'match' the chance is high to have 'mixed' in the wrong parentage. Blaine Bettinger explains this in one of his DNA lectures for Legacy, and also in his book about DNA.
