Happy Friday All

a brief article today of a missing mother.

26 Feb. 1870

Wanted - A Mother
George W. MARTIN, of Oswego, New York, sends a statement and inquiry as follows;
About 1847, a little girl named Elizabeth WELSH was brought to America
by one John M'COLLUM. Her mother, Mary WELSH (in County Tyrone) had
married a second husband, Samuel M'KINSTRY, and then the girl lived
for some time with a family named EILKISON, before she was sent to
America, which was without her mother’s knowledge (as is thought). She
was left on a doorstep in America twenty-three years ago, and now is
the wife of the above George W. MARTIN, of Oswego. Mrs. MARTIN hopes
by this inquiry to get some tidings of her mother. Any information may
be addressed to the Rev. Dr. Gisney SMITH Omagh.
