My ancestor was James Irwin born 1755 in Ulster possibly County Tyrone. He immigrated to America sometime in the early 1800s and settled in Rockingham County NC. He married Esther McGhee )born 1757) in Scotland. I don't know his parents or Esther's parents but surmise she was from Southwestern Scotland and assume his family was also. Anyone information anyone has would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you Frances Callaghan
