Well, I started working on it finally. Here's a quick sample of what
it will look like (it may be inaccessable occasionally since I haven't
set up static IP stuff through my router):

Also, much of the code here is not so hot yet, since I spent a lot of
my time A) figuring out how to generate the thumbnails, and B)
generating them on 2.5 GB of pictures and movies ;)

I tried using transcode but I had problems while compiling it that I
couldn't resolve... I also tried animate but that failed as well for
some reason I can't remember... Ultimately what I did was first use
MPlayer to split it up into JPEGs of the frames of the movie (for some
reason the -vo option gif89a didn't work), then converted the JPEGs to
GIFs of the appropriate size, and then I used something called
whirlgif to make the final thumbnail (and then of course I deleted the
intermediate JPEGs and GIFs).

Now I just need to fix up the rest of the code and make it look
pretty. :) For any Smash Bros enthusiasts, you may want to check out
the video of two Mewtwo's gangbanging Falco.

Thanks for the help!
