I am rather a fan of the ZVUE. Plays DivX/XviD, MP3, Ogg Vorbis, and
WMA. Uses SD cards for memory (I've got a gig in mine). It is much
larger than the IFP-895, although it costs the same or less for more
functionality. If you can stomach the size difference, it is roughly a
million times better than any other player in the "gig or less of
memory" class.

They're also constantly working on it, too, and seem reasonably
responsive to community suggestions. (This is how low-power audio
visualization and album art happened, IIRC.)

Don't be fooled by the $150 price on their webpage - you can find them
for $95-$100 over at Walmart and similar places. I think I got mine for
about a hundred bucks at CompGeeks.
