Hi,
The Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute is looking for two IT student
interns. We currently have two positions open, one to concentrate on
hardware and network support, one to concentrate on internal application
development.
The hardware intern would need to be familiar with networks and Windows
workstation administration. Knowledge about cleaning virus and spyware
infected PCs a plus. The software intern would be working with Perl, PHP,
SQL and HTML, with some Javascript thrown in to liven things up. If you
know anything about Linux administration that would be good. Both will
need to be able to interact with non-technical users and help them with PC
hardware and software problems.
Our facility is adjacent to the College Park campus, near the Metro Station.
