The University of Maryland's Department of Transportation
Services (DOTS) is looking for students who are interested
and knowledgeable about IT to apply for positions as Computer
Assistants.
Student Computer Assistants should have the following skills
and abilities:
* Use, install, and configure Windows 2000 Professional and
Windows XP Professional
* General PC hardware familiarity
* Install software and upgrades
* Install and configure internal land external hardware
peripherals
* Use and create macros, templates, spreadsheets, and
databases with MS Office Pro
* Assist in troubleshooting simple hardware and software
problems
* Willingness to learn and follow directions
* Work independently on long and short-term projects
* Create and maintain documentation
