[UM-LINUX] default window size in X

I don't know if this is an app-specific thing, but for some reason I can't 
get firefox to remember the last used window size (which it uses when 
spawning new windows) iff the window is maximized. (i.e. it can remember 
any other size...) Am I missing something simple, or should I file a 
firefox bug report?
