We use Linksys SR2024s at work, which are actually Cisco-co-branded (eg, they have a big fat Cisco logo on them to go with the Linksys one). I do not believe they have jumbo frame support, but they do have gbic interconnects. I highly recommend them.
I _believe_ that Cisco gets away with charging the big bucks because of support contracts and the management options their switches sometimes provide. -DMZ On Fri, 2006-02-03 at 16:22 -0500, Peter Teuben wrote: > i see more and more "consumer" Gbit switches available in > bestbuy etc. But the big guns like Cisco still sell for > $2-3k. if you're just doing Gbit networking, even in small > groups, do you really need to keep buying them $$$?
