Description:
Robert Half Technology is looking for a Linux
System Administrator who will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance
of Linux systems in multiple clusters within the environment. The ideal
candidate will possess a deep understanding of Linux and related technologies,
and will be capable of working in a multiple-distribution environment.
Additionally, this person will be able to function effectively in a fast-paced
environment where projects may take as little as a few days from conception to
deployment.
Required skills and knowledge:
Experience with multiple linux
distributions.
Configuration and maintenance of Sendmail, Apache (1.3.x and 2.x), Squid, MySQL, NFS, CIFS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, IPTables, DNS (Bind 9.x), CVS, and SNMP (net-snmp).
Strong knowledge of Linux kernel configuration
Perl and bash scripting.
Knowledge of load balancing technologies (Netscaler, BigIP, ...)
Experience with large-scale web server farms.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
