I did manage to read some followup on the archives. Agreed, why not
block non-list-member stuff, there's been way too much spam lately. Or
direct it to a moderator for disposal.

BTW, below, the reply I got from Heller. It looks like I got put on
probation due to a transient mail delivery error, and convicted because
of spam coming from the list.

Thank you for reporting this.

The time of the mailing errors corresponds to the hardware failure
suffered by our mail server on Valentine's day. The hardware has been
replaced and is now functioning normally.

Please let us know if you notice any other issues with your mail service.
