I’ve been trying to learn kino. It seems to be the most popular one. I haven’t had much time on it, but it did get data from my cheapo video camera through a firewire card.

Subject: [UM-LINUX] linux video editing software

Can anyone recommend a good piece of video editing software for linux? I'm looking for something that won't require another advanced degree to operate and/or install. I'm tried several times in the past but 1) too many projects are in the space, most of which aren't any good 2) they all seem to take a lot of time to install.

Installing it _should_ be fairly easy (I'm running Gentoo), if only I knew which one was worth investing the effort into...

Thanks in advance!
Scott
