Hi, I'm really new to Linux and trying to get a VPN connection to the university without much luck. I'm using Mandrake 2006. I've tried a variety of programs, most of which won't compile.
The closest I've gotten is using the Cisco VPN client v4.6.02. It seens to install and initialize correctly, but when I run ./vpnclient connect umd it prints stuff out but then seems to hang and I'm unable to access the internet. until I CTRL-C. I've also tried a program called vpnc, but though it seemingly connects I still lose access to the web. If anyone can give me some guidance on this, or direct me to another client that might work, I'd really appreciate it. The stuff printed is: Running on: Linux 2.6.12-17mdk #1 Mon Feb 13 14:24:15 MST 2006 i686 Config file directory: /etc/opt/cisco-vpnclient Initializing the VPN connection.
