Government Services Integrated Process Team, LLC is an established, small, disadvantaged, woman-owned, SBA 8(a) certified program management, planning, architectural and engineering firm providing responsive and innovative solutions to our government clients. We work in a collaborative, team environment and offer the closeness and flexibility of a small firm, and a full benefits package.

We are currently experiencing rapid growth, and are seeking to expand our IT staff. We have a need for someone who can fill dual roles as both a junior – mid level web application developer and a junior – mid level systems administrator. The majority of this position will involve application development. This is a great job for a recent graduate.

As a developer, you will work with other application developers to gather requirements and create applications for government clients. The majority of our projects are web applications written in PHP, though some will be migrating to JAVA.

As a systems administrator, you will supplement the IT staff to manage the company's internal network, including a number of remote employee sites.

Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with PHP (versions 4 and 5) and JAVA / J2EE
  • Working knowledge of database design and use (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS Access)
  • Demonstrated Linux experience (Red Hat Enterprise Linux / Fedora / CentOS)
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Windows XP Professional desktops
  • U.S. Citizenship
Desirable:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of security best practices and coding standards
  • Familiarity with maintaining Windows 2000 Servers
  • Experience maintaining email servers (Postfix, Cyrus IMAP, SpamAssassin, ClamAV)
  • Familiarity with VPN connectivity
  • Knowledge of AVAYA telephone systems
