I am reaching out to LUGs around the globe to celebrate Linux's 15th
Birthday on Saturday, August 19th. I would like to know how many LUGs
(or Linux folks) are interested/willing to celebrate this occassion -
and if so, how are you going to do this? Can we set up a webcam at the
parties and pass Tux around the globe??

Folks in the SF Bay area have been celebrating for over a decade ... You
can find more about what they are doing at http://linuxpicnic.org

I'd like to coordinate something along the same lines. I'm posting this
to the following lists or officers:
USA
     NOVALUG (Northern VA)
     DC LUG (Washington DC)
     CALUG (Columbia, MD) Area)
     Mid-Atlantic area (MA-LINUX)
     University of Maryland (UM-LUG)
     Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA
     Philadelphia, PA
Canada
     Ottawa
     Montreal
     Quebec
     Vancover
Australia
     Syndey
     Alice Springs
     Victoria

There are many many more LUGS. Please - pass the thought on to those
who may be interested!

Remember, all Windows machines are, by definition, fault tolerant.

              They run Windows don't they!!
