If OCP wants to play a completely b.s. game with us about something as trivial as "UM" then we have a few options
1) We can fight tooth and nail to keep what we have
2) We can have them decide what things to change
3) We can come up with something witty and submit it for approval because hey, it doesn't really matter. ==> Thus why I voted aye immediately because who really cares? Plus it'll be funny to see them wrap their brains around a recursive acronym :P

my 2 cents at least

Actually, I've been dealing with University staff in the OCP on this one- I don't think the SGA cares, but the OCP staff are the gatekeepers.  I've got some issues with the SGA as well, but thus far my experiences with the SGA haven't been too bad- it's issues with the University staff-run parts which have been the hardest part to deal with.

IMHO, the high level problem is giving students (read: SGA) $1.x million
(x==5?) in student activity fees to deal with as they wish.  It is
as close to absolute power as most people will see, so it will be as
close to absolute corruption as people will ever see :-(  As a result,
you see stupid shit like this.
