We have scheduled the first few meetings and an installfest. We are still looking for presentations!!! In particular, I'm interested in doing another flamewar- this time a scripting language flamewar. I was thinking Python vs. Ruby. Is anyone interested in being the zealot for either side? I've got one person for Python already (you've all got one guess who that person is) but I'm inclined to allow teams if any more are interested. Anyone here really like Ruby?
I'd also like to see a presentation on automake, autoconf, and all that cruft. All I really know about it is that it's considered one of the biggest hacks in Linux, but I don't know why. Anyone interested? I hope to see you all next week! ~John http://umlug.umd.edu/meetings/
