Fair warning, but RMS is a *&@#^4@ nut job :-P I saw him talk at a scifi con once, and yes it was for a different audience then the CS faculty, but he was scary. He went fairly steadily back and forth between ranting and raving, and finished his "talk" off by putting on a big purple mumoo and an old disk platter on his head and talking about the church of Emacs. I understand that this is an act for the True Believers, but I just found it unsettling.
