I very much like the idea of this sort of a website. In fact, a while back (before my life became insanely busy) I bought learntolinux.com, which I planned to make (yet another) linux instructional site, but with a sort of twist I suppose. I wanted to aim it at users of windows or complete computer newbies and make it easy to navigate, easy to understand and with plenty of nice looking screenshots.
Obviously the content would be centered around desktop users. What's more, I'd like to have content explaining the parallels and differences between a windows environment, a mac environment, and a gnu/linux environment. I personally use Kubuntu, so any articles I would write would likely center around KDE and the Kubuntu way of doing things, but I would be more than happy to have contributors who would write from a Gnome standpoint or from the standpoint of any other distros (which is another concept I would like to explain on the website). So far I haven't made any progress on the layout and design, but I think I will resume work on it soon, possibly using drupal or TikiWiki (leaning towards TikiWiki). If anyone would be interested in helping with this website, I'd love the help!
