My quick google search turned up:

which states if you give article the 'empty' arguement, i.e.,

\documentclass[empty]{article}

it should not print page numbers.

I am about 2 months off from doing my thesis with the latex template, but
I've never done anything with apacite.  You might try using pdflatex instead
of latex, b/c I think that deals with hyperref better, but this is a fairly
brazen shot in the dark.
