Hi all, I just spent a half hour trying to figure this one out and couldn't. I recently figured out how to execute shared AFS applications over SSH from UMD servers... MATLAB and others are helpful to use from my dorm. I was, however, trying to get Pro/Engineer working for my girlfriend who is an engineering major and wasn't able to. It's a GLUE application: I try 'tap proengwild3' and execute via 'proe1' on glue.umd.edu, but it appears to simply hang -- I believe it is running (as the command usually doesn't exit until the window is closed), but the X forwarding isn't working correctly. I couldn't see any way to VNC or to open a direct session, so I'm not sure how else to use it. Has anyone else used this app before remotely or does anyone have any ideas?
