Hello. My name is Neil Sikka, and I am currently a sophomore Computer Engineering major. I have 4 years of Linux experience with the following distributions: Gentoo, Fedora, Ubuntu, Knoppix, and Mandrivia. Also, I have experience installing and maintaining Linux servers and desktops, which I can use to help maintain the server our club uses for the package repository mirror. In addition, I will be developing parts of the Linux Kernel this summer as part of my job, and I will come back next year with much more experience with and knowledge of the Linux kernel, which I will be happy to share with the club next year. I have prior leadership experience as President of the robotics team at my high school for 2 years. I am active in extracurricular activities on campus including the Maryland Robotics Team, Maryland Linux Users Group, and other social groups. If elected, I will make sure to listen to input that I receive. I am also about to graduate from the Public Leadership Scholars program, and am very interested in applying what I have learned in my Public Leadership classes to real life situations. I would appreciate your vote for Vice President. Thank you.
