----- LINUX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR: As a Systems Administrator, you will work closely with other IT support personnel and the Director of Information Technology to help manage and upgrade the company's internal network, including a number of remote employee sites. Tasks will include the installation, configuration and maintenance of Unix (Linux and BSD) and Windows 2000 / 2003 servers in a heterogeneous environment, including automated software deployment using group policies. In addition, administrators will manage both hardware and software aspects of a converged voice and data network. Systems Administrators should be familiar with security best practices, documentation, and Unix and Windows scripting tools (e.g.: shell scripts, PERL, Python, etc.). Minimum Qualifications To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following qualifications: • Minimum of 3 years working in an IT related capacity • Demonstrated Linux experience (Red Hat Enterprise Linux / Fedora / CentOS preferred) • Experience with BSD (FreeBSD preferred) • Experience configuring and maintaining email servers (Postfix and Scalix desirable) • Strong oral and written communication skills • Knowledge of information security best practices • Knowledge of database server operations and maintenance (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) • Familiarity with VPN remote connectivity solutions • U.S. Citizenship In addition, the following skills are highly preferable but not required: • Associates Degree or higher • Experience configuring Windows XP Professional workstations • Experience maintaining Windows 2000 / 2003 servers • Familiarity with Alfresco Content Management System or similar • Familiarity with CAD software (Bentley and AutoDesk products) • Experience administering enterprise anti-virus and anti-spam products (Sophos preferred) • Familiarity with voice-over-IP (VOIP) technologies ----- WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPER Web Applications Developer Government Services IPT has an immediate opportunity for a Web Application Developer to join and help build the company's Information Technology staff. As a developer, you will work with other application developers to gather requirements and create applications for government clients. You will also be responsible for assisting with the development of internal applications and our company intranet. The majority of our applications are written in PHP and Java. Developers will also have the opportunity to serve as project team leads, including requirements gathering and analysis, and direct interaction with our Federal and Military customers. This position offers flexible hours, including the option of telecommuting part time.
