You can view combined last semester's calendars for UMLUG and ACM here:
http://lounge.cs.umd.edu/events/previous . Prior to that there wasn't much of an attempt to organize previous events.

Typically there seems to be a lot of interest in security topics (Encryption and WIFI hacking), discussions on programming languages (Python vs. Ruby), designing web applications (Platinum Solutions gave last year), graphics (GIMP), and SCM (ie GIT). There's definitely a bunch that I'm missing - anyone who can think of a presentation that made an impression on them, please feel free to share.

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is excited about the beginning of the 2009 Spring semester! As usual, UMLUG is looking for presenters. This year, we have an exciting opportunity (via Google) to use some pre-made presentations; if you don't have the time to put together a presentation on your own, I'd encourage you to check out the library and see if there's one you're interested in giving. The address for Google's WebDevEDU page is: https://sites.google.com/site/webdevedu/courses/client-side-programming .

Presentations can be about almost anything related to open design of technology - they needn't be about Linux, or even about a particular type of software.

As always, please e-mail me if you're interested and I'll find a spot for you on the schedule.

Where would I find a list of past presentations?
