I've fought with this a bit in the past. If you could state the specific issue you are facing, I might be able to help. Are you talking about automatically choosing an X driver at boot time? BTW, nouveau is getting pretty good now, though it does not support some of the newest cards. It could have anything from a hardware keylogger to a modified BIOS that claims to boot from your drive but in fact boots a hypervisor that brings up your system in a VM and injects malware into it. For this reason, I prefer to carry a laptop. -- Matt
