We got a nice amount of money from them a few years ago for the new server that runs mirror.umd.edu. The website ( https://it.umd.edu/about-dit/governance/student-it-advisory-committee-itac/itac-proposals) used to have examples of successful proposals from previous years, but I can't find them anymore. I think they removed them because they are deliberately looking to fund different types of proposals than they have previously.
