Sorry to see issues in Palemoon.
We've made a few checks, and it seems too costly for us to maintain
Palemoon compatibility in uMap.
We try to preserve as much as we can compatibility for "old" browsers
(we are strict on not using features not in "baseline 2021" , which
means implemented in major browsers before 2021).

But it seems Palemoon has other bugs (eg. we have one with z-index+var
in CSS preventing the edit bar to show above the map), and it will take
too much time to workaround those.
We've made some fix for viewing the map (will be in next release), but
are unable to fix all the issues to be able to edit the map right now.

You can still use Firefox if you don't want to use Chrome-like browser
(we do use Firefox ourselves).
