Folks,

I''m just forwarding a question from our friend Neeraj. I know Luis ha
worked in the past to have Umit working through proxies, so I thought it
would be better to have this discussed on our mailing list.

Cheers!

Subject: umit does not support proxies
To: Adriano Marques <[email protected]>

Hello,

I used the umit and found out that it does not support proxies. We have proxy
system in our hostel and I was not able to scan any of the popular websites
like google.com, iitkgp.ac.in, itbhu.ac.in etc. However it was able to scan
my colligues system in the hostel. I could not even scan to the lan server
of our institute. I could not find any tab to do the proxy settings as well.

I just wanted to know whether Nmap supports proxies or not and if nmap
supports proxies why is umit not supporting it. Is it not a good idea to
support proxies as well for umit.

Regards
Neeraj Gupta
