You're very welcome to apply for that project! We're not sure yet which of
those projects we'll keep for this year's GSoC if we get to participate
this year, but you're doing a great exercise by getting prepared ahead of
time and contacting the org beforehand. Start to lay your plan for
implementing this solution and continue to reach out in case you need any
help!
