Greetings all,

We are getting ready for a big transition here - tomorrow (Fri Nov 11)
will be Bridget's last day working on this project - she is moving on
to new position outside the Univ of Minnesota thereafter, and we
certainly wish her the very best with that!

As you might have known or realized, Bridget has been the main
developer and support provider for UMLS::Similarity and
UMLS::Interface over the last several years (at least three years,
even longer than that I think!) so this is clearly a very big change
for us. We will do our best to continue without her, and would ask
that if you have any questions about these packages that you go ahead
and post them to this list (or send them to me if you'd rather not
have them on the list). We will continue to develop and support these
packages, and it would be a big help if you could direct your
questions to us just to make sure nothing falls between the cracks and
that we continue to get your valuable feedback. I am sure it might
take us a bit longer to get answers and fix things, but we will do our
very best to continue the good work that Bridget has started here.

We are of course happy for Bridget and her new opportunities, and
while we might feel a bit sorry for ourselves at times without her,
we'll do our best to carry on and keep things under control and
improving over the longer term. So, please do keep us posted on how
things are going, and let us know if any questions arise.

BTW, Bridget's new employer isn't secret, but if you haven't heard I'd
prefer you heard it directly from her (don't want to steal her good
news), so drop her a note to get filled in on what her future plans
include.

Cordially,
Ted
