Hello, I have a little problem with hdd speed. I can't enable DMA use with unattended Linux. If I try to overwrite my disk using the 'dd' command, it takes 3.5 hours for 40 GB of disk size. In the hdd parameters I have enabled the io_32bit setting '/proc/ide/had/settings' to a value of 1. After this change I have reduced the time for 1.5 Hours. But I can not enable DMA mode for this drive. How can I fix this? Can somebody put the hdparm command to the Linux install disk? If I try to overwrite the disk with a DOS tool I need up to 30 minutes.
Is it possible to implement a unattended switch in the unattend.txt file, that performs a low Level Format befor starting the installation?
