Hi Shad, hi folks!
Today, I implemented your excellent sample for config.pl (with mysql) in my Unattended system and added some php-pages for database maintainance on the server. Surprisingly I had a couple of problems with the sample, some of them are not solved yet. For example, I had to comment-out the whole fdisk-command-block because perl complained about the variables and I am not fit enough in perl to figure that out. The next problem is the "ProductKey" value. You chose to look for "<os_name> ProductKey". This makes problems here, as it matches on the full content of <os_name> and that value contains some kind of garbage in all four cases of my installation media (win2k, ws2k, winxp and ws2k3). I think it would be better to look for <OS_media> instead of <os_name>. But I do not understand why it is necessary to include any reference to the OS here. This is senseful only if you set OS_media *and* ProductKey, which is not the case. So, I would propose to only look for "ProductKey" and push its value for both "ProductID" and "ProductKey". I tried this on my copy and it works. What do you think? cu Niels -- A: Weil es die Lesbarkeit des Textes verschlechtert. F: Warum ist TOFU so schlimm?
