Executing the office2k.bat script to an Brazilian Portuguese installation I found a problem:
In the SP3 section:
:: Office 2000 Update: Service Pack 3 (SP3) :: <http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=326585> :: <http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5C011C70-47D0-4306-9FA4-8E92D36332FE> :: URL|ARA|http://download.microsoft.com/download/office2000/SP/3/WIN98MeXP/EN-US/O2kSp3.exe|updates/office2k/ara/o2ksp3.exe :: URL|CSY|http://download.microsoft.com/download/office2000/SP/3/WIN98MeXP/EN-US/O2kSp3.exe|updates/office2k/csy/o2ksp3.exe ...
All updates points to a EN-US file, that doesn't install in another languages. In example PT-BR has it's own file: :: URL|PTB|http://download.microsoft.com/download/office2000/SP/3/WIN98MeXP/PT-BR/O2kSp3.exe <http://download.microsoft.com/download/office2000/SP/3/WIN98MeXP/EN-US/O2kSp3.exe>|updates/office2k/ptb/o2ksp3.exe
As a suggestion too, there are many other "features" that can be removed from the Office installation. Example for REMOVE parameter of the first msiexec:
REMOVE=... ASSISTANTFiles: Removes that anoying assistant from the Ms Office. OSBShortCutFiles: Removes the links bar. OUTLOOKFiles: Removes the Ms Outlook 2000 (For those who use only Outlook Express).
Removing aditional components makes another fixes not necessary or necessary to add REMOVE parameters to them too.
Example:
Removing Outlook, makes the remove of these "features" necessary to SR-1a. OutLookHelpFiles_SR1Patch, OutLookMessaging_SR1Patch, OutLookNoOpen_SR1Patch And removing Outlook, makes these updates not necessary: :: Install View Control Security Update :: Outlook 2000 Update: December 18, 2002
