They are, 
Personally I dont care if its parted or something else, as long as I get those 
windows installations going.

Right now parted is what we have, and it somehow gets the job done.
The alternatives probably have their own quirks, and requires adaption into 
the existing code. They will also require some file system formatting 
package(s)
So for the future, parted does not look that bad, as we can do small steps 
ahead.

That said, some of the partition code in install.pl just screams for 
improvements.
