The underline problem is the dependency of our build on the host system.
I do not have any trouble compiling glib 2.5 but then we are start
getting strange errors, so I thought that we are better stay with 2.3.6
for now.

There is an underline problem the linuxboot depends on the contents of
\\ntinstall\install\linuxaux . This means that when we change the
libraries version, we are not longer able to use previous version of
linuxboot cd. (libparted-1.6.so.12 not found error for example)

Sorry if I am too conservative about the stuff that we are changing. But
I would like to impact the less that I could.

Actually, i think that I should revert the change for the parted 1.8.8
and keep 1.6. Modify the build system to keep all the libraries/binaries
within the iso/ftpboot image. This way for future version, you could
still boot using previous versions.

WDYT?
