Well some more information:

The install script output:

Looking for z:\os\winxpsp3\i386\lang...
... found
Use of unintilized value $ext in pattern match (m//) at install.pl
This message appears three times.

Creating c:\netinst\postinst.bat ... done
Creating c:\netinst\mapzrun.bat ... done
Creating c:\netinst\permcred.bat ... done
Creating c:\netinst\tempcred.bat ... done
Trying to parse z:\os\winxpsp3\i386\$oem$\textmode\txtsetup.oem
...file not found
Creating c:\netinst\doit.bat ... done
Creating c:\netinst\unattend.txt ... done

and then the next messages flash over the screen and the machine reboots

Error: builtin global.conf (line 481): Disk device/file
z/linuxaux/var/lib/dosemu/drives/dosboot.img doesn't exist
1 error(s) detected while parsing configuration file

SCSI synchronising CACHE and reboot.

However dosboot.img exists !
The global.conf file is located under dosemu-1.4.0/etc/

Any ideas?
