Whoops, I spoke too soon! The RS780G chipset really is SB700 southbridge (device id 0x4391), and the kernel detects it just fine. What happens is EDD returns the wrong disk geometry when I boot the Zino HD from a Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drive. But it returns the correct geometry when booted from a Corsair flash drive.
