#20: There are no virtio drivers in the kernel image --------------------------+------------------------------------------------- Reporter: giner | Owner: Type: enhancement | Status: reopened Priority: major | Milestone: 4.9 Component: bootdisk | Version: 4.8 Resolution: | Keywords: virtio --------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
Comment(by giner): I have done some experiments and got some extra information: 1. Unattended kernel recognize virtio and load virtio_pci during boot (by /etc/master and /bin/find-modules-pci). 2. Ubuntu 10.04 recognize virtio => load virtio_pci and then udevd load other drivers (virtio_blk, virtio_net, etc). If I stop udevd, unload all of virtio modules, and load virtio_pci again => I get only virtio_pci loaded. 3. Unattended initrd doesn't have udev. How can it be fixed? -- Ticket URL: <http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/unattended/ticket/20#comment:8> Unattended <https://apps.sourceforge.net/trac/unattended/> This is a system for fully automating the installation of Windows 2000 Professional and Server, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Start uncovering the many advantages of virtual appliances and start using them to simplify application deployment and accelerate your shift to cloud computing http://p.sf.net/sfu/novell-sfdev2dev _______________________________________________ unattended-devel mailing list unattended-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/unattended-devel
