#57: enhance sample-config.pl for the remaining setup questions. -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Reporter: sebi-m | Owner: Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: 4.9 Component: bootdisk | Version: 4.8 Keywords: | -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- While adopting the sample-config.pl for our installation at work, I extended it to accept 4 more parameters (fdisk_confirm, nt5x-install, replace_mbr and edit_files) to allow a completely unattended install without further manual intervention.
During the creation of these scripts I found a bug in conf-csv.pl which I already filed. I tried to pass the value "0", but that failed. So please use the fixed version, so this enhancement might not work as intended. Another design issue came to my mind. Should I give the input values directly to the return values (as in fdisk_confirm, replace_mbr and edit_files) or should I check the values and give proper defined return values (as in nt5x-install)? From a usability point of view, I think the latter should be the way to go, but I'm not a developer (yet?!) and I don't have a sufficient overview over the project.
