Gerald Carter (Member of the Samba Team, technical author, Admin for Auburn University - College of Engineering, etc...) wrote a little bit of code named Patch32. He wrote it back in the Windows 95 and NT days. It is simply used to deploy patches/updates, and to verify those patches/updates. I thought it may be of some interest to people on this list and those working on 'unattended'.
" Patch32 is a system for deploying OS updates to client machines from a central location without human intervention. The system allows for updates to be placed on a central SMB file server which clients will check upon the execution of the patch32 script. The patch32 script is written in Perl which is available for Win32 platforms from ActiveState Technologies.
