I looked around and couldn't find an archive for this list, so I'll go ahead and post up the question, as I haven't seen any problems related to the one I'm having.
Linux Server - DHCP/TFTP server. Clients - Intel Pro bootable NIC and 3Com with provided 3Com boot disk. Both setups get IP addresses fine, the TFTP boot seems to work with no problems. Both machines can map Z: and start running the script. Here is the error: ========= A:\>perl -I Z:\doslib Z:\dosbin\install.pl ipconfig A:\net\ > A:\tmp.txt failed, status 14 at Z:\dosbin\install.pl line 101. A:\>if errorlevel 1 goto end ========= Any ideas on what's going on here? I'm *pretty* sure I followed the directions correctly as far as setting up the server side goes. Also, since I haven't been able to get it working at all, I can't tinker around and see what all it can do. Will I be able to add different OSs to the list of available installs, or is it just 2k/XP? If not, does anyone have any pointers to any non-commercial products or how-to's to do this with a Linux PXE/TFTP server? I could probably create a boot disk with a bunch of .bat files, but ideally I'd like to be able to mount a CDROM ISO as a drive letter on the client and install as if the machine was booting/installing off of the CD. My knowledge of TFTP/PXE is quite limited at this point and I'm not even sure if that can be done at all. Thanks!
