[Unattended] Screensaver causing problems

I was wondering if anyone else has had problems caused by the screen 
saver turning on.  If I am installing an application, ie. Cygwin, that 
uses an AutoIt script and takes a long time, I often have problems when 
the screen saver pops up.  I have found a work around for a lot of these 
problems by disabling the screen saver during installs through a perl 
script, but I was wondering if anyone else had seen these problems, or 
knew of any other methods to solve them.  Thanks.
