Let me begin by saying that I am not certain if I have a problem with my Network Configuration or if this is an issue with Unattended.
Boot via DOS Bootable CD Choose an image compatible with my NIC Answer YES to change the defaults... \\ntserver\install Jmblack Password WinXP proceeds to install, all is good. Reboot in XP install Reboot after install is finished WinXP runs "c:\netinst\mapznrun.bat postinst.bat" The c:\netinst\mapzrun.bat attempts to map drive z: using the EXACT same authentication that I keyed in in DOS (read: good?!). Unfortunately the drive mapping fails. If I edit c:\netinst\tempcred.bat and add "domainname\" before the username it works. The question is, should I have to do that?! ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
