in my setup, all the printers are set in TCP/IP or LPR mode. so i have to create "standard tcp/ip network ports" on the workstations before installing the printers using
the "rundll33 printui.dll /......." method
I tried to use the .vbs scripts shipped with winxp, but they are incompatible with win2K... M$ sucks !
So I directly patch the HKLM registry.... it's quite simple, it works, but not really clean...
Is there another (cleaner) way to do so ?
Another point : Is there already a "sambapdc" script collecting all the little hacks needed to connect 2K/XP workstations to samba domains (signorseal key, user shell folders, delroamcache..., excludeprofiledirs...) ?
