When you boot into a DOS and start your network client for DOS, you need
a real name for your server, not an IP Address. This probably comes from
the network Client being used. There may be a client around which works
for DOS and understands IP Addresses for the server name.

I'm not quit sure, but this may work if you use the Linuxboot CD.
