Believe it or not, those are actually harmless warnings.  They always
happen, but usually they are only on the screen for a fraction of a
second.

The real error is this:

    Disk-device/file /dev/dsk1 doesn't exist.

This probably means the drive is not partitioned properly.  What did
you do for the partitioning step?

Put another way...  After the partitioning step, what do you get if
you switch to virtual terminal 2 and run "parted /dev/dsk print"?
